Homely Dog Boarding
I offer a Cornwall Council Licensed, 5 star rated ‘home-from-home’, warm and comfortable environment for your dog, looking after it just like one of our family. I don’t have kennels and I won’t shut your dog away, it will be free to be in my house and secure 25 meter garden as part of our little pack.
Boarding numbers are limited so your dog will get lots of attention, stimulation, cuddles, love and individual care, as well as varied and tailored wonderful walks in the amazing and beautiful surroundings on our doorstep and near by.
Licensed by Cornwall Council – 5 Star Rated
As per Dog Boarding Regulations October 2018, Love Paws is licensed and approved by Cornwall Council for boarding small numbers of dogs on a ‘home-from-home’ basis. Our home has been inspected for animal welfare practices, the lay out of the premises and space for each dog, health and safety and fire procedures, security, comfort, and cleanliness. In addition to this, the new regulations take into consideration the number of years experience and animal related qualifications of the licence holder for the higher star ratings – I am very proud that Love Paws has been awarded the highest rating possible.
To comply with regulations, all dog owners must enter into a written and signed agreement to board their dog at Love Paws, this includes having a pre-boarding consultation to allow the dogs to meet off the premises, followed by an orientation at Love Paws’ home to ensure all dogs are familiar with each other and get on and everyone is happy. If your dog’s stay is going to be more than 4 days, a night’s trial stay will be arranged. A Love Paws Dog Registration Form will be completed giving written permission by all owners to board their dogs at love Paws’ home with other dogs, allow their dogs to go in the garden with other dogs, allow their dogs to be fed in the same area as other dogs, to be walked off the premises and to be allowed to walk off the lead and with other dogs.
Each customer will also be consulted on their dog’s needs for their stay at love Paws’ home including feeding requirements, daily exercise needs (usually a minimum of 2 one hour walks unless otherwise agreed), stimulation and behavioural requirements, interaction with people, grooming needs, any medical conditions and veterinary and emergency procedures, including emergency contact details. Notes will be kept of each dog’s stay to ensure everything possible can be done to make their time at Love Paws a happy, healthy and safe one.
Please note, under the terms of the Dog Boarding Licence, I cannot board any dogs under The Dangerous Dog Act, any Wolf hybrids, for example Northern Inuits, or any dogs with aggressive, destructive or excessively noisy behaviour. Bitches in season cannot be boarded and only neutered males can board at Love Paws. Special procedures must be agreed for any dogs under 1 year old. For safety reasons dogs cannot be walked or boarded without a Consulation meeting.
Covid 19 Safety arrangements:
In any pandemic situations, all regulations will be followed such as social distancing etc. Dogs would be greeted and handed over in the driveway, customers would not be able to enter the house but could come into the garden as part of the initial Consultaion process, harnesses would be sanitised and only Love Paws leads and collars would be used, hand sanitiser would be carried on all walks and social distancing would be maintained.
