About Love Paws
Love Paws is owned and run solely by me, Jackie Walker, a life-long animal lover who grew up with dogs, cats and small animals. I am at my happiest when surrounded by animals.
After a life time in London as a (very human) Human Resources & Training Manager, I moved to Cornwall in 2004, retrained as a Fitness Instructor and walked a friend’s dog voluntarily for 2 years while my son was a baby. Bubble, a Collie cross Retriever, joined the family as an 11 week old pup in January 2008 and Love Paws was created in 2009.
Based in Tintagel, Love Paws has grown year on year and has many different types of dogs on the books of all breeds, sizes and ages from puppies to the elderly, as well as lots of cats and some small animals. I have learnt so much about dogs and the way they learn, develop, behave and interact in the many years of my hands-on running of Love Paws. I do everything myself and your pet will only be looked after by me, from the initial contact, consultation, home visit, care, walks and communication during your pet’s stay.
Bubble grew too into a beautiful girl with a wonderful temperament and was the experienced matriarch of the Love Paws pack who enjoyed sharing all the fun of walking and playing on the amazing Cornish coast, beaches, woods, quarries and fields with her many dog friends. Bubble reached the great age of 15 and lived every moment right up until she was taken very suddenly from us. It was heartbreaking and I’m still coming to terms with her loss and running Love Paws without her but her spirit is still with us.
